I love these mobile bases!
I have three of these mobile bases, one for my rbi Hawk scroll saw, one for my Shop Fox Belt / Disc sander, and one for my Rigid Planer / Joiner. Its so easy to move these heavy pieces of equipment around for cleaning and getting access to my lumber racks.
great product
Base was easy to assemble, works remarkably well and I would recommend the mobile base to anyone!
Exactly what I needed.
Works perfectly to move my 14″” bandsaw. More than that, when lowered it is very stable and the bandsaw doesn’t move or ‘rock’ like my previous mobile base. Will probably purchase again for other tools in my shop.
Great product, terrible instructions
I used it to move my 330 lb cabinet saw around. I had to use an engine lift to set it in place. I am an engineer, and the instructions are terrible. It jumps around in different languages and the pictures are hard to see. I ended up just looking at the picture on the box. I gave it five stars because its well made, and does the job.
My new favorite mobile base
I purchased this base to us for my Dewalt planer. This is the 3rd mobile base in my shop. He other two are a Shop Fox, and what I used to consider to be the best base out there, an HTC. The Shop Fox is not even in the same league with the others, and was purchased purely based on price. Proof that you do get what you pay for. The HTC has served me well for several years, but it does have rather flimsy side rails, and the rubber feet get beat up pretty easily. I saw the Bora unit on sale at the Rockler store while I was visiting family in Indianapolis. The unit was on sale, so I asked the clerk to open the box so I could take a look. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the components. The wheels are some sort of composite, but appear to be tough as nails. The wheels roll smoothly, and the side rails are much stronger than the competition’s. I set it up as soon as I got home, and could not believe how much more maneuverable it was than even the HTC unit. It steers like a sports car, and allows me to easily park the planer against the wall without making a dozen “”Y”” turns. The locking levers are made of steel and look like the should last for many years. Soon, all of my mobile bases will be Of the Bora brand. Believe me, if they weren’t any good, I would be the first to say so. Try one soon, you’ll be very happy with the product.
